When came Delhi, he took time to understand things. Recently we had a conversation with Vikas, let’s find out more what he shared about the ups and downs that he facd and won:
Q. Could you tell us about your initial journey in Delhi?
Vikas – It was challenging indeed, I wasn’t familiar with effective communication and English language, I started waking whole night and practicing on my weak areas. Afterward, I wondered where I should start my career and finally, I had decided to enroll my graduate program with Journalism & Mass Communication.
Meaning I joined a couple of NGO’s (Manzil & Pravah) where I learned a lot in terms of communication, English, positive behavior and time management.
Q. How was life after completing your graduation?
Vikas – I felt amazing after completing the graduation as I wanted to join a film production, I always wanted to be famous hahaha, but yes, I wanted to come in TV and other digital mediums.
Later, one of my friends had introduced with a Delhi based filmmaker, I met with Neelofer Shama (N. S. Films) meanwhile, I worked on national TV for some educational TV shows and same with Urdu Chanel with Muzaffer Ali (Director of Umrao Jaan).
I worked with them for two years as an assistant director and content writer.
I was part of various short-films and autobiographies but everyone knows how filmmaking is tough in Delhi, it’s hard to get projects and survive. I tried a lot to stick with that glamour field but I couldn’t continue as I had to start more money to fulfill my financial responsibilities.
Q. How did you feel after quitting N.S. Films?
Vikas – I can’t deny, I learned a lot from N.S. Films but I wanted to accelerate my future. I was stressed and tensed Indeed about my career as I wasn’t getting enough opportunities where I can make good money as well.
That was a tough phase, my brother played a great role in those days and tried to make me calm & think about future.
One of my friends asked me to go for Digital Marketing but initially, I was afraid as I had mixed up experience and no one could work, however, I thought, I should take the last chance with digital marketing.
Q. How digital marketing plays a role in your life?
Vikas – Finally, I had decided to have a course in digital marketing as this is a vast field. After going through with several institutes, I had joined hi-Aim Institute for digital marketing diploma course.
Once I got connected with Hi-Aim, I never felt insecure about my career as I came to know that digital world has the uncountable career making options. With the help of training and resources provided by hi-Aim, I was able to learn the most useful aspects of digital marketing.
Q. What was the career prospect after the completion of digital marketing course?
Vikas – I completed the course, and initially started working online from home, the more I worked the more I got earning sources. There is a saying, ”You need to be all-rounder if you want to be in a contest” so I joined Hi-Tech as a content writer with a handsome salary no doubt!
Now, life started sounding better as I started earning full time and as a freelancer as well. No doubt Digital Marketing is a vast field that has endless growth oppotubities.
I managed to develop my own website where I can get clients, it was really tough to get clients in the begining but with some effort i started geting clients from the website.
Now, I’m working with Hi-Tech as a full-time content writer, in my spare time I do my freelance work with my associate, we have more than 10 members team who work online with the clients according to their need such as Blog Post Writing, Article Writing, Email Marketing, Internet Marketing, PPC, SEM etc.
Q. How is life now?
Vikas – Now life seems pretty easy and beautiful, through digital marketing, now I earn good money which helps me to fulfill my all financial desires. I’m happy with my life, it’s just been 8 months where I started earning more than lac every month, now I’m planning to add some more players to my team as per theincreasing workload.
I’m thankful to my friends Pravah, N.S. Films and of course, HIAIM who gave me ample experience and taught me a lot. If you want to follow your interest, this is really a great gesture but I would like to add here if it doesn’t work you can recheck if you’re on right way or not. Digital marketing has the huge potential of growth.
But if you want to be successful, there is no shortcut. Obviously, it required dedication and hardwork to the right way.
